Stages of Treatment
There are many possibilities in terms of patient needs and treatment options available. A thorough initial consultation is crucial to the success of the treatment.
Step 1 - Initial Consultation
Dr Ladakis will assess your needs and expectations whilst
considering your dental appearance and chewing ability. Any
necessary treatment will be discussed and Dr Ladakis will provide
answers to any questions that you may have.
Dental implants will only be recommended if they are the best treatment for your particular dental situation. Alternatively, Dr Ladakis may recommend another treatment strategy that best suits your needs. All aspects of modern dentistry are offered in the practice.

Step 3 - Review Appointment
All patients are contacted the day after surgery and reviewed
2 weeks later, as a matter of routine.

Most patients are reviewed for final crown placement 2-3 months after implant placement. This may vary depending on your particular circumstances.

Step 2 - Implant Placement
The surgical placement of the implant is usually done in our
dental rooms under strictly sterile conditions. For those who
require more involved treatment, or who are apprehensive,
treatment may be undertaken under general anaesthetic.

Dr Ladakis operates regularly in an inner Melbourne private hospital.

It should be noted that all surgical procedures carry risk. Before proceeding, patients should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified dentist.

Step 4 - Final Crowns\Teeth
Once successful bony healing has occurred around the dental
implant, Dr Ladakis will take an impression of the implant base,
and a final natural looking crown will be constructed.

Dr Ladakis collaborates with one of Melbourne's best dental aesthetic laboratories to construct this crown.

The final stage of treatment takes approximately 2 weeks.
